A leading financial institution has engaged Ethos to appoint an IT Risk & Security Consultant to join the Risk Consulting team comprising of technology risk experts delivering group wide IT Risk & Security advisory and consulting services.

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk Consulting you shall be responsible for providing risk and security assessment services to the business across the regions and shall hold the following skills and experience;-

University degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent
Security and IT risk management certifications (preferred, not mandatory) - CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, SABSA
Financial services experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to deliver end to end security/risk assessment services
Significant experience in applying security and IT risk management practices in a consulting capacity
In-depth knowledge and practical application of information security and IT risk management principles and concepts
Detailed knowledge of information security standards and tools, including cryptography, access control and penetration testing techniques
Experience in reviewing application/infrastructure security architecture and design
Thorough understanding of current and emerging IT and security technologies, security threats and trends
Knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements relating to banking and finance IT
Knowledge of industry security, risk management and assessment methodologies and standards and applying them in a large enterprise environment - eg ISO 2700x, AS4360
Knowledge of development, design and project management methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements relating to banking and finance IT
Ability to gather written and verbal information from multiple sources, assess and consolidate risks, provide appropriate recommendations
Comfortable working as part of global team across multiple countries, cultures and time-zones
Ability to influence and educate stakeholders and management regarding appropriate security and IT risk management
